Michigan takes over No. 1 all-time winning percentage after Notre Dame loss to Duke
While No. 4-ranked Michigan was routing Penn State to move to 4-0, rival Notre Dame had a rough day.
Recently dropped from the Associated Press Top 25, the Fighting Irish suffered an embarrassing 38-35 loss to Duke.
Notre Dame is now 1-3 on the season and, more importantly, 893-316-42 all time.
Why is that important, you ask? Well, with its win on Saturday, Michigan moved its all-time mark to 929-331-36. That means the Wolverines now own the best overall winning percentage in college football.
The difference is minuscule — .7307 to .7306 — but the way the 2016 season is going for both teams, it can only get larger.
