Michigan takes a 21-0 lead over UCF after the first quarter
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Wilton Speight and Amara Darboh needed one play to give Michigan a 21-0 lead over Central Florida.
Speight connected with Darboh for a 45-yard touchdown pass with 1:55 left in the first quarter, after UCF punted. Darbugh scored less than two minutes after Khalid Hill’s touchdown gave the Wolverines a 14-0 lead over the Knights.
Hill’s 2-yard score capped off a seven-play, 57-yard drive, as Michigan capitalized on UCF’s poor special teams play.
Michigan defensive lineman Chris Wormley blocked Matthew Wright’s 50-yard field goal attempt with 6:20 left in the first, which set up Michigan’s second scoring drive.
