On June 4, Marietta (Ga.) 2020 4-star pro-style quarterback Harrison Bailey visited Michigan and left feeling reassured that the Wolverines are at the top of his list.
“That was the best visit I’ve ever been on,” he said. “Michigan was awesome. I loved it. Coach [Pep] Hamilton was with me all day and never left my side through the whole visit.
“Michigan is a school that I will definitely be back at. They have a great staff that I bonded with.”
The 6-foot-5, 228-pound quarterback has offers to play for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Appalachian State, Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse and Texas A&M.
“I’m definitely considering [Michigan] in my recruitment,” Bailey said. “My relationships with the coaches are amazing.”
Another school Bailey is focusing on is Tennessee. He is taking an unofficial visit to see the Volunteers on June 23 to get a deeper look into the program.
“I like the new movement they have going, building a dynasty with coaches and players,” Bailey said of Tennessee.
The Wolverines extended an offer to Bailey on May 18, 2017. Prior to his visit on June 4, the last time he was in Ann Arbor was on Feb. 23, 2017, with Marietta Lassiter 2018 3-star cornerback Christian Jackson, who is now at Michigan State.
In late January, Michigan safeties coach Chris Partridge visited Bailey at his school. He also went to Marietta High School for Gilbert, 2020 4-star weakside defensive end BJ Ojulari and 2020 athlete Dawson Ellington.
Bailey, along with other teammates, also has been visited at Marietta High School by Hamilton, Michigan’s passing game coordinator. The duo is extremely close and Hamilton’s influence on the young quarterback should play a major factor in Bailey’s recruitment.
“He’s come by the school a couple times and seen me throw a bunch of times,” Bailey said. “He’s hard on me, but it’s for the better of me. I like Coach, he awesome.”
“We all know each other from camps and stuff like that, but they haven’t said much to me about my recruitment,” Bailey said.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound quarterback has played in 10 college games for Ole Miss in two seasons, completing 238 of 392 passes for 3,139 yards, 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He was a 5-star prospect, ranked No. 4 in the nation for the 2016 class.
Milton is a freshman from Orlando (Fla.) Olympia. He was a 4-star prospect, ranked No. 204 in the nation for the 2018 class. He committed to Michigan over Florida, Georgia and others.
In 2017, his sophomore season, Bailey completed 126 of 203 passes for 1,824 yards, 20 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
Bailey hopes to commit during the middle of his junior football season and knows Michigan will be in the race until the end.
