The Michigan Class of 2018 includes 14 committed players, and there are four committed to the Class of 2019. There’s a lot of hype surrounding players during the recruiting season, when they go to camps and special events such as Nike’s The Opening.
Where these players really shine, though, is on Friday nights for their high school teams. That’s where they put all those camp drills to good use. Land of 10 brings you a roundup of how some of these future Wolverines fared on the field last weekend.
Sammy Faustin, CB, Naples (Fla.)
Faustin had an interception in a 24-15 win at Golden Gate to improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in district play this season. It was the first interception of the season for Faustin.
Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Dearborn (Mich.) Divine Child
The future defensive end caught a 10-yard touchdown pass as a tight end in Divine Child’s 40-18 win against Detroit Loyola. The win wrapped up the Catholic High School League AA title for the Falcons.
Kevin Doyle, QB, St. John’s College (D.C.)
Doyle didn’t have to do too much through the air as the Cadets beat McNamara, 49-0. He did put his legs to good use on this touchdown run.

Reese was named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super 11 before this season, signifying him as one of the 11 best players in Georgia.
