Class of 2018 in search of defensive tackles
There’s a hole in Michigan’s 2018 recruiting class at defensive tackle, writes Allen Trieu of Scout.com in the Detroit News. The Wolverines are making a push for several players, including Alim McNeill of Raleigh, N.C.
Safety Josh Metellus spoke this week about how his younger brother’s Miami Central High School team was stuck in Las Vegas because of Hurricane Irma. Central had traveled west to play national power Bishop Gorman and beat the 3-time national champion program. Members of the Miami Dolphins stepped up to take care of the extra expenses incurred by Central because of the hurricane.
Answering the call
Defensive backs coach Mike Zordich challenged the collection of cornerbacks during preseason camp, asking to see who would step up. Zordich has been pleased with their response.
