Linebacker signee rated 5-star
The final ratings and player rankings by 247Sports for the 2018 class — the Top247 — have been released, and 2018 Michigan signee Cameron McGrone has been bumped up from a 4-star to a 5-star prospect. He becomes the lone 5-star player for Michigan currently in the class, although the Wolverines are in contention to sign two other 5-star rated players.
McGrone, a linebacker from Indianapolis, is the No. 24 player in the country. Michigan is also actively recruiting tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere, who is ranked No. 9, and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, No. 19.
These ratings are different from the 247Sports composite, which is an average ranking and rating system based on major recruiting services and their ratings.

Otis Reese to be in Ann Arbor this weekend
Reese will take his official visit to see the Wolverines this weekend, Land of 10 has confirmed. This will be the first visit for Reese to Ann Arbor since he attended the 2017 spring game on April 15.
Kipp Adams of Dawgs247 first reported Reese’s plan to visit.
Reese announced his commitment to the Wolverines in June 2016 but has been recruited by other schools, most notably Georgia. He has made multiple unofficial visits to Athens during the recruiting period.
Reese announced Jan. 3 on Twitter that he would take official visits to five schools: Michigan, Georgia, Central Michigan, LSU and Clemson. Last weekend, he visited Central Michigan, where his older brother plays.
