Michigan freshman RB Kareem Walker, who spent part of the fall working through academic issues, told MLive.com’s Nick Baumgardner that he’s “good to go” on that front and earned a 3.0 grade-point average this semester.
Walker, the No. 101 player and No. 4 running back in the Class of 2016, redshirted this season.
Kareem Walker said he's good to go academically tonight. Said he got a 3.0 this semester. Hadn't told Harbaugh yet. But he was proud.

Harbaugh told Walker to spend less time on football while he got his classwork in order, so he wasn’t practicing in the early part of the season.
A few weeks later, Walker was back working out with the team and dressed for the first time on Oct. 22 against Illinois.
“There was an excitement and an enthusiasm he has right now about academics and school — it’s been a real shot up in that regard,” Harbaugh said in late September.
