Michigan OL David Dawson announced Sunday on Twitter that he will transfer for his final year. As a graduate transfer, he’s eligible immediately at a new program.
“It is with a heavy heart to announce that I am reopening my recruitment to all Universities and football programs for my fifth year,” he wrote.
“Thank you for all the love and support over the last 4 years. GO BLUE!”

Dawson saw limited time in 16 games over the last three seasons after redshirting in 2013. He played in three games in 2016 — against Rutgers, Illinois and Maryland. The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder played defensive tackle against the Scarlet Knights.
Dawson was the No. 95 overall player and No. 4 guard in the Class of 2013.
