On Wednesday night, ESPN’s David Newton wrote that not only is Norv Turner joining the Carolina Panthers as its next offensive coordinator, but that his son, Scott, would be joining the Panthers as well as its QBs coach.
Scott Turner was an offensive analyst for the Michigan Wolverines in 2017. Scott was previously the Panthers’ quality control coach in 2011 and 2012, a WRs coach for the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and the QB coach for the Minnesota Vikings from 2014-2016 before joining the Wolverines.
As Newton also wrote, Norv’s brother Ron is currently an offensive consultant with the Panthers and his nephew Cameron is the assistant QB coach.
Scott, who is 35-years-old, began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Oregon State in 2005.
