As another sign of the season getting closer, Michigan has announced its team captains: Jake Butt and Chris Wormley.

The two are senior veterans for the Wolverines.
Butt is a 6-foot-6, 250-pound TE. He had 51 catches for 654 yards and three TDs in 2015.
Wormley is a a DE at 6-foot-6, 302 pounds. He made 43 total tackles in 2015, posting 14.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Both players will be hoping to pick up All-Big Ten and even All-American honors.
In a note shared on Twitter, Butt said being named a captain is “truly the highest honor I have received (and probably ever will receive) in my life.”

The announcement comes a little more than one week before the Wolverines begin their season Sept. 3 against Hawaii.
Butt is the first TE since Kevin Koger in 2011 and Wormley the first d-lineman since Mike Martin in 2011
