Kingston Davis’ father announced in March that his son would be looking for a new home after spending one season at Michigan, and it appears he’s found it.
Davis will spend next season at Independence Community College in Kansas, the program’s head coach announced on Twitter.

Davis appeared in one game during his true freshman season and had 2 carries for 17 yards.
His father told Scout’s Sam Webb that a crowded backfield and talk of his son potentially moving to fullback were the reasons behind the change. The 6-foot-1, 245-pound back from Prattville, Ala., was a 3-star recruit on the 247Sports composite as a prospect in the Class of 2017. Davis can spend one year at Independence before transferring back to a Division I school, where he’d be immediately eligible to play again.
