There’s usually only room for one kicker on a college football team.
Michigan lineman Jon Runyan Jr. posted an Instagram on Monday saying Wolverines kicker Andrew David would transfer.
Runyan wrote “Sad to see my mans P. David go, had some great memories with this two sport athletic specimen. Wish you the best at TCU on the field and in the diamond, until next time brother… #BabyLeg”
looks like scholarship kicker Andrew David is transferring to TCU. https://t.co/LlCBl04bPF

David redshirted as a freshman in 2015. Quinn Nordin, the top kicker in the country in the class of 2016, is now with the Wolverines, so David’s chances of seeing the field were slim.
Michigan returns its starting kicker from last year, too, even after Jim Harbaugh said roster spots were not guaranteed to fifth year seniors. Kenny Allen hit 18 or 22 field goals in his first year on the job.
David would have to sit out a year if he transfers to TCU.
