ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan will have a new-look offensive line when it faces Illinois at 3:30 p.m. today at Michigan Stadium.
Michigan announced during pre-game ceremonies that Ben Braden will replace Juwann Bushell-Beatty at left tackle, while Ben Bredeson will play at left guard. Mason Cole will remain at center.
Bushell-Beatty played at left tackle two weeks ago in a 78-0 win at Rutgers, and returned to the game despite an injury to his right knee in the first quarter.
Running back Drake Johnson did not participate in warmups. Earlier in the week, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was optimistic that Johnson would play today; Johnson has not played in Michigan’s first six games due to injuries.
