Before coaching the Lions, Prince held assistant coaching jobs with other NFL teams, such as the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. His college football coaching stops included Rutgers, Virginia, Kansas State, Cornell and James Madison.
The hiring of Prince comes a day after Michigan promoted Ed Warinner to offensive line coach.
