On Thursday, ChatSports.com reported that Michigan running back Kareem Walker has been dismissed from the team. However, Michigan has since denied the report.
A Michigan athletic department spokesperson said “that report is not accurate” in an email to Land of 10. In addition, Walker is still listed in the Michigan online directory.
Walker’s High School, DePaul in New Jersey, also said that the report was “1000 percent” false.
To be clear 1000% Kareem Walker is and will continue to be a student athlete at the university of Michigan. Reports that’s he has been dismissed from the team are 1000% false and inaccurate! bush league reporting at its best!!

The report stated that Walker was dismissed from the program by coach Jim Harbaugh as a result of Walker’s fourth violation of team rules in his 2 years in Ann Arbor.
In 5 games with the Wolverines in the 2017 season, Walker rushed for 68 yards and 1 touchdown on 20 carries. Walker did not dress for the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day, where Michigan fell to South Carolina, 26-19.
Walker was a 4-star recruit in the 2016 class and was the No. 4 running back and No. 107 player in the nation.
