Former Michigan LB apologizes for Jim Harbaugh tweets

Former Michigan linebacker Elysee Mbem-Bosse issued an apology on Sunday for tweets from his account directed at Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh last week. It was his first public statement since the tweets about Harbaugh last Monday. Mbem-Bosse was in the Class of 2016 from Ellenwood, Ga.

Wolverines QB situation still uncertain

Harbaugh said early in the spring that quarterbacks Shea Patterson, Brandon Peters and Dylan McCaffrey would get equal reps throughout spring practice. Spring practice is set to wrap up early this week, and the three quarterbacks continue to split reps evenly with the first-team offense, Michigan assistant head coach and passing game coordinator Pep Hamilton said Sunday.

Loyalty kept Chris Partridge at Michigan

Michigan assistant coach Chris Partridge, who was courted by national champion Alabama early in the offseason, revealed on Sunday why he turned down the Crimson Tide and came back to coach the Wolverines. In addition to saying Ann Arbor was “the place I wanted to be,” Partridge said he returned out of loyalty to Harbaugh.

Jim Harbaugh’s tame offseason good for team

Shawn Windsor of the Detroit Free Press explains why it’s a good thing Harbaugh stepped back from the public spotlight this offseason. Windsor thinks Harbaugh’s decision to do so was a calculated move, especially after Harbaugh recently said the team felt rejuvenated this spring.

Play calling still collaborative effort

Hamilton said Sunday that while Michigan’s offensive staff crafts what the Wolverines will do on offense, Harbaugh will continue to have the final say on play calling in 2018.
