Michigan pushes for top recruits in 2019
Land of 10’s Rachel Lenzi reports what Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is doing to recruit players for the 2019 class. Though he has had fewer viral moments on the recruiting trail this year, Harbaugh made more than 50 scholarship offers to 2019 recruits in January. By comparison, the Wolverines made only 14 offers to the 2018 class in January 2017.

Jim Harbaugh reportedly considers hiring Jim McElwain
Despite a occasionally heated history, Harbaugh is reportedly considering Jim McElwain as the Wolverines’ wide receivers coach. Harbaugh and McElwain, who was Florida’s coach from 2015-17, traded barbs before Michigan played Florida in the 2017 season opener.
Toledo OC Brian Wright withdraws from Wolverines coaching search
Toledo assistant coach Brian Wright has reportedly taken himself out of the running for Michigan’s wide receivers coach, according to Sports Illustrated’s Bruce Feldman. Under Wright, the Rockets were the No. 1 offense in the Mid-American Conference in 2017, averaging more than 483 yards and 36.4 points per game.
