In Jim Harbaugh’s career, the majority of the awards and honors he has received have been football-related. However, Harbaugh will soon be honored for something much bigger than football.
On Friday, the V Foundation announced that Harbaugh will be honored for his commitment to fighting pediatric cancer at the 13th annual Dick Vitale Gala, which raises funds for pediatric cancer research across the nation while promoting awareness about the disease.

In additon to Harbaugh, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Florida State men’s basketball coach Leonard Hamilton will be honored.
The Gala will take place on Friday, May 11 at The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, Fla.
