Days after their seasons ended, Michigan parted ways with the coaches of its men’s and women’s lacrosse teams.
Michigan’s men’s team went 8-6 in 2017, but finished 0-5 in the Big Ten. The eight wins matched Michigan’s best mark since becoming a varsity program in 2012, but they were not enough to save Paul’s job. He went 23-61 in six seasons.
On the women’s side, the Wolverines went 5-12 in 2017, 1-5 in the Big Ten. Ulehla went 20-49 in four seasons in Ann Arbor, but her teams were just 1-21 in conference play.
The athletic department announced it will conduct national searches for both vacancies.
