What day is it? Oh, yeah, it’s Day 4 of Michigan in Rome. That means a trip to the Vatican to see Pope Francis give his weekly address at St. Peter’s Square.
If there is one day head coach Jim Harbaugh has been looking forward to the most during this weeklong trip, it is today. Harbaugh and his wife, Sarah, are devout Catholics, and he has openly spoken in the past about his faith and the importance it holds in his life. On Wednesday, the couple confirmed new son John Paul, born in January, and daughter Addie will have special moments during the trip as well.

Next Generation trip
It isn’t Rome, but Land of 10 Michigan writer Rachel Lenzi is in Suffield, Conn., today to visit with WR Brad Hawkins as part of our Next Generation series of stories. Rachel will have a Facebook Live interview with Hawkins on the Land of 10 Michigan Facebook page and story here on Landof10.com this afternoon.
The Next Generation series is a way to show readers more than just the 40 times and game stats of the incoming 2017 Michigan freshman class. We have previously profiled Aubrey Solomon, Kwity Paye, Josh Ross and others.
