Michigan forward Duncan Robinson’s story is a wild one and it’s still going.
Robinson was playing at Division III Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., before transferring to play for John Beilein and the Wolverines.
Now, he’s going to the Final Four.
With 7 points and a key 3-pointer, Robinson was an important part in the Wolverines’ 58-54 win over Florida State on Saturday night. After, he chatted with Big Ten Network’s Rick Pizzo about the experience.
Here’s what he had to say on making the Final Four:
“Man this is another level right here. Never would’ve imagined that I’d be in this situation, but this team as well. All that we’ve battled through and how much we’ve grown in this short year is incredible.”
He was then asked more about the game, including his key bucket:
“That felt great. Finally got one to go. Just a little bit of an ugly game across the board and my teammates are always in my ear telling me to be aggressive. I was able to make that one off a great pass from Zavier [Simpson]. But credit to [Florida State], they kept battling back but we just found a way to win.”
