John Beilein and the Michigan Wolverines have lost one of their four 2018 commits.
Taylor Currie, a 3-star power forward from Clarkson, Mich., announced Friday on Twitter that he is reopening his recruitment.
“In June, I committed to the University of Michigan because I grew up with a love for the school,” Currie wrote. “However, since my commitment, I have learned more about the recruiting process and what factors should play into a decision.”

Currie is the No. 199 player and No. 44 power forward in the Class of 2018, according to 247Sports composite rankings, but he ranks far behind a pair of other Michigan front-court commits, 4-star prospects Ignas Brazdeikis and Brandon Johns.
With Brazdeikis, Johns and 4-star point guard David DeJulius still committed, the Wolverines boast the No. 6 class in the country, even without Currie.
