Saddi Washington took to Twitter to express his thankfulness for him and his family not suffering any serious injuries after being in a car accident Tuesday. The tweet marks Washington’s first public statement since the accident.

Washington, a Michigan basketball assistant coach, returned home Tuesday after the Wolverines’ 79-62 national championship loss to Villanova. He and his family were then driving home when they were involved in a rollover accident. According to MLive.com, the police received word of the rollover crash near Denton Road and the Willow Run Airport around 3 p.m. A team spokesman told the The Detroit News there were no serious injuries.
“Thank God,” spokesman Tom Wywrot told The Detroit news. “Everyone’s a little shaken up.”
Washington recently finished his second season as a Michigan assistant coach. He spent the previous decade on the Oakland men’s basketball coaching staff.
