Michigan basketball is hot at the right time. The Wolverines have made a run to the Big Ten Tournament final, and they have what it takes to continue winning all the way to the Final Four, CBS college basketball analyst Seth Davis said.
Michigan made a run to the Sweet 16 after winning the Big Ten Tournament title in 2017, but Davis said Saturday this group could go even deeper in the NCAA Tournament in 2018.
“I like them that much more in the NCAA Tournament because once they get outside their conference, they’re playing against opponents who are not familiar and comfortable playing against that Michigan offense,” Davis said on CBS after a win over top-seeded Michigan State. “I think Michigan’s a Final Four team.”
Michigan can win a second consecutive conference tournament title Sunday with a win over either Purdue or Penn State.
Michigan has won three games in three days at Madison Square Garden. The Wolverines have won eight games in a row overall, and they have just one loss since Jan. 25.
