When it comes to winning, Tom Brady knows what it takes to get it done. The quarterback has a national championship ring with Michigan and five Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots as evidence.
Michigan basketball coach John Beilein also knows a thing or two about winning, as the Wolverines have won 13 straight games en route to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. However, while Beilein has now led the Wolverines to the Final Four twice in his tenure at Michigan, he does not have a national championship ring to show for it.
Of course, Brady — one of the most successful athletes that has ever attended Michigan — will be cheering for his alma mater on Saturday, when the Wolverines take on this year’s Cinderella, No. 11-seeded Loyola Chicago. The winner of that game will play for the national championship on Monday.
Rather than just rooting for Michigan, though, Brady went above and beyond, as he chatted with Beilein via FaceTime on Thursday in San Antonio.
Michigan basketball shared this news on Twitter:

Based on the tweet, it appears that broadcaster Jim Gray brought Brady into the conversation via FaceTime during an interview with Beilein. While we don’t know what Beilein and Brady talked about, it’s safe to say that Brady wished Beilein good luck and offered a couple tips on winning a ring.
Michigan and Loyola will tip off at 6:09 p.m. ET on Saturday (on TBS) in San Antonio.
