Michigan basketball will be playing for a national championship for the first time since 2013, as the Wolverines punched their ticket to the National Championship Game with a 69-57 win over Loyola on Saturday night.
The Wolverines were led by big man Moe Wagner and guard Charles Matthews, as they scored 24 and 17 points, respectively, in the Final Four victory. Michigan is set to take on the No. 1-seeded Villanova on Monday night in the championship game.
After Saturday’s win, though, the Wolverines took a moment in the locker room to celebrate their national championship berth.
