Michigan agrees to multi-year deal with CBS Radio Detroit
Michigan athletics will remain on the CBS Radio airwaves in Detroit.
The athletic department and IMG announced a multi-year agreement that will keep Michigan football, basketball and hockey games on CBS Radio affiliates in Detroit. This means Michigan athletics will remain on WWJ-AM Newsradio 950, WXYT (97.1 The Ticket) and WXYT (Sports Radio 1270-AM) in the Detroit area.
No details of the agreement were revealed.
“We are excited that IMG renewed our great partnership with the CBS Radio Detroit family,” Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said in a press release. “This will continue to provide a consistent flagship home for Michigan football and basketball broadcasts in southeast Michigan and will place our hockey games on a regular channel in the market. We look forward to another multi-year partnership on game broadcasts and coaches radio shows.”
Michigan football’s flagship station will be WWJ-AM, while basketball games will also be broadcast on WWJ-AM. Michigan hockey will be aired on Sports Radio 1270.
