ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Jourdan Lewis, Michigan’s All-American cornerback, did not start today’s game against Colorado. Lewis was dressed and went through pregame warmups prior to the No. 4 Wolverines’ game today against Colorado at Michigan Stadium.
Lewis has been held out for Michigan’s first two games of the season due to injury. Coach Jim Harbaugh did not specify the reason Lewis sat out the season opener against Hawaii on Sept. 3, but said last week that Lewis sustained a muscle strain. Earlier this week, Michigan secondary coach Mike Zordich said Lewis was having back problems.
“He had a hell of a camp and then all the sudden his back started tightening up,” Zordich said Wednesday. “It affected his hamstrings, it affected his quads. He’s just fighting through these things right now and working hard to get back out there.”
