Michigan doesn’t have a chance to improve its College Football Playoff resume this weekend, but Lee Corso doesn’t care. He thinks the No. 5 Wolverines should be in the top 4 over No. 4 Washington, which beat Colorado 41-10 to capture the Pac-12 title on Friday.
“Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Michigan should be in the Playoff,” Corso said Saturday morning on College GameDay. “Washington is not one of the country’s best teams.”
Michigan has two losses (Ohio State and Iowa) and three top-10 wins (Penn State, Colorado and Wisconsin). Washington has one loss (USC) and wins over Colorado and Stanford.
Based on last week’s College Football Playoff rankings, it seems like Michigan will need a Clemson loss to Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship Game to get in. But there’s been a sentiment for much of the season that Michigan is one of the four best teams in the country.
