When an all-time great such as Kobe Bryant scores 81 points in a game — the second-highest total in NBA history — and the player who guarded him for most of that game is a public figure in Jalen Rose, people don’t forget, even 11 years after the fact.
Bryant dropped 81 points against Rose’s Toronto Raptors in 2006, and in a new commercial with the former Fab Five guard, the two bump into each other at a restaurant.
Rose asks what Bryant’s endeavors were since he retired. When the waiter comes over and asks how many olives he needs for his “vodka martini,” Bryant reminds Rose how many points he scored on him.

Rose may never have the upper hand when it comes to competing with a first-ballot Hall of Fame player such as Kobe, but at least he was a good sport about it and made a comical commercial.
