Michigan football landed its first commit from the Class of 2020 on Tuesday, as 3-star wide receiver Kalil Branham announced his commitment to the Wolverines on social media.
Branham is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound wideout from Northland High School in Columbus. He verbally committed to Michigan on Twitter. In his tweet, he included a picture of himself that reads “Go Blue” and “2020 commit,” as well as a picture of his late grandfather, who is sporting Michigan gear in the picture.
“PAW-PAW I will be a Michigan Man! We did it! RIP #branhamboys #goblue,” Branham wrote.

Although Branham does not yet have a ranking on 247Sports composite, he is given individual rankings. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 5-ranked wide receiver from Ohio, the No. 36-ranked wide receiver and the No. 321-ranked overall player, as of Tuesday.
Branham also received offers from Youngstown State, Wake Forest, Toledo, Marshall, Kentucky, Kent State, Kansas, Eastern Michigan, Cincinnati, Boston College and Akron.
