Michigan football had its annual awards banquet on Tuesday night, the 2017 Michigan Bust hosted by the U of M Club of Detroit.
During it, Wolverines quarterback John O’Korn made some comments that have fans speculating for next year.
“I’m so excited to watch Brandon [Peters] lead this team next year,” O’Korn told the crowd, including Landof10’s Rachel Lenzi.
Peters took over the starting role from O’Korn this season and has performed well despite missing the Ohio State game due to a concussion. But the quote is curious seeing as the Wolverines brought in former 5-star recruit Shea Patterson from Ole Miss earlier this week.
It remains to be seen if Patterson will even be eligible to play unless the NCAA approves his waiver, but it has some fans talking.
Trash comment. If Shea’s a teammate which it sounds like he is, then best man wins.

He threw shade better than he threw passes this season. I'm glad he's gone.

He’s entitled to his own opinion. I’m just excited to have that many quality qb’s on the roster. GO BLUE! 〽️〽️〽️

For what it’s worth, O’Korn also thanked Harbaugh “for believing me when few did, when I got benched at Houston.”
He also threw some shade at his mother, who was wearing red to the event but later corrected, saying she looked beautiful.
