Najee Harris, the nation’s No. 1 recruit in the class of 2017, has been committed to Alabama since April of his junior year. The top running back recruit will get a visit on Oct. 14, when Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh attends his game in California, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Harbaugh’s hope is that he’ll persuade Harris to come to Michigan. The Crimson Tide are the No. 1 team in the country; Michigan is ranked No. 4.
“I’m going to take my five visits, but I just don’t know where,” Harris told USA Today. “Let’s say this: My mind isn’t set on Alabama. I’m not 100 percent set on Alabama. I’m trying to see what else is out there for me. I’m using my visits to see.”
Harris is a senior at Antioch High School. It faces Liberty next Friday when Harbaugh will reportedly attend. Harris has received 25 offers, according to Scout, a list that includes Michigan, LSU, Ohio State and Notre Dame.
