Around this time each year, Jim Harbaugh’s name gets linked to job openings in the NFL. There are usually internet rumors out there about Harbaugh potentially returning to coach in the pros and analysts who say Harbaugh is a perfect fit for a certain opening.
The Michigan coach does not like that kind of speculation. Just like he doesn’t like his breakfast reheated.
Speaking at an Outback Bowl news conference on Thursday, Harbaugh compared rumors of his potential return to the NFL to “warmed-up oatmeal.”
“I’m going to compare it to something else that’s rehashed. It’s not good anymore,” Harbaugh said. “Oatmeal is the first thing that comes to mind. I’m not a big fan of warmed-up oatmeal.”

Harbaugh, who spent four seasons coaching the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL from 2011-2014, is wrapping up his third season in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines are looking for their ninth win of the campaign on Monday, when they face South Carolina in the bowl game.
