As a fierce competitor, Jim Harbaugh probably is not a fun person to be around after he loses. The Michigan coach definitely is not a good person to sleep next to after tough games.
Jim Harbaugh’s wife, Sarah, disclosed that after a loss her husband will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and yell about plays that went wrong.
“After a loss for Jim, his sleep is very interrupted. I try not to sleep next to him after a loss because he will wake up and yell something that went wrong. He’ll yell a play,” Sarah Harbaugh said. “His thought process, you can tell, is just rewinding the whole thing. He just gets quiet, closed down. He’s really beating himself up, quietly.”
Sarah Harbaugh opened up about this on Amazon Prime’s eight-part docuseries on Michigan football that was filmed during the 2017 season. During the fourth episode of the show, cameras caught up with the Harbaughs at their house on the morning of Oct. 9, 2017, two days after the Wolverines lost a home game against in-state rival Michigan State.
Land of 10’s Kevin Goheen and Rachel Lenzi broke down each episode of the series, which premiered Friday on the streaming service.
