The Legal Services Corporation is important to Jim Harbaugh.
The Michigan coach is on a Leader’s Council for the LSC, which funds civil legal services for low-income Americans. There were reports Tuesday morning that the White House and president Donald Trump could defund the LSC.
That news did not sit well with Harbaugh, who took to Twitter to voice his displeasure, saying the LSC is “crucial to making justice system fair.”
I hope reports that White House trying to defund Legal Services Corp aren't true. LSC is CRUCIAL to making justice system fair. #LSCmatters

Harbaugh joined the LSC leader’s council last April. When that happened, LSC president James Sandman told American Lawyer, “If Jim Harbaugh would simply speak on the issue (of the legal aid crisis), it would be heard differently.” That’s just what Harbaugh did Tuesday morning.
Of course, Harbaugh commenting about something political made for some angry Twitter comments. In a surprising twist, however, Harbaugh’s tweet actually gained praise from a few Ohio State and Michigan State fans.
@CoachJim4UM As an Ohio State fan, I'm appalled by this flagrant display of decency.
