IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa cut Michigan’s lead to 10-8 in the final three minutes of the first half, but was unable to tie the game on a two-point conversion attempt.
Trailing 10-2 to the No. 3 Wolverines, Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard connected with Akrum Wadley for a 3-yard touchdown pass on fourth down with 2:47 left in the first half.
Iowa went for the two-point conversion, and Beathard found wide receiver Adrian Falconer cutting in the end zone. However, Beathard’s pass bounced off Falconer’s hands, and allowed the Wolverines to go into halftime with a 10-8 lead Saturday night at Kinnick Stadium.
