Michigan players are going to remember meeting this coaching titan for a long time.
Herman Boone, the longtime high school coach and subject of “Remember the Titans,” gave Michigan a speech following a Tuesday night practice leading up to the Orange Bowl. Jim Harbaugh posted a picture of himself with Boone on Twitter, saying it was “a true honor and privilege” to have him stop by and speak to the team.

Boone led an integrated T.C. Williams (Alexandria, Va.) team in the early 1970s, won a state title and gained national recognition. He and T.C. Williams were back in the national spotlight in 2000 when Denzel Washington played Boone on the big screen.
