Michigan assistant coach Greg Frey has met with Florida State about a staff position with the Seminoles, according to a report from Noles247. Frey, who coaches the offensive tackles/tight ends and is the Wolverines’ running game coordinator, was meeting with new Florida State coach Willie Taggart on campus in Tallahassee on Tuesday, according to the report.

Noles247 said there is a “good chance” that Frey and the Seminoles will finalize a deal.
Frey joined Jim Harbaugh’s staff at Michigan ahead of the 2017 season after spending six years on Indiana’s staff. Frey previously worked at Michigan from 2008-10 as the program’s offensive line coordinator.
Frey and Florida State were first linked in reports last week, but he was with Michigan at the Outback Bowl on Monday.
“Every season takes shape and every game takes shape differently,” Frey told Land of 10 before the bowl game. “You don’t know what’s around the corner, and that’s part of the fun of being a coach, being a player, being a fan. That’s what makes this game so great.”
