While some teams might get pep talks from their coaches, the Michigan Wolverines got some pre game inspiration from a former baseball star.
Former Yankees short shop and MLB All-Star Derek Jeter sent the No. 4 Wolverines team a pre game letter before their top 10 showdown with No. 8 Wisconsin.
RE2PECT is earned.

Along with the letter was a t-shirt which reads “RE2PECT IS EARNED.” “Re2pect” was the slogan the Jordan brand used for Jeter in his final year, as he was celebrating his excellent career and impending retirement.
“One of the most important things you can do is respect the game,” Jeter said in his letter. “You can do that by respecting the process, the trainings, the grind, the details.
Jeter, who go national attention while playing high school baseball in Kalamazoo, Mich., ended the letter by saying: “GO BLUE, and good luck this weekend.”
