Hoke was on the sidelines with the Wolverines starting in 2011 and was fired in 2014 after going 31-20 in his career in Ann Arbor.
Since then, Hoke served as the Oregon defensive coordinator in 2016 and will now go to the Volunteers.
Before the Wolverines, Hoke was head coach at Ball State and San Diego State, and was an assistant at a number of different schools before that. He also spent a stint as the Wolverines defensive line coach from 1997-2001 and was the defensive ends coach from 1995-1996.
