Former LSU athletic director Skip Bertman said Wednesday on 104.5 ESPN in Baton Rouge that recently fired LSU football coach Les Miles turned down Michigan and more money in 2011 before the Wolverines eventually hired Brady Hoke.
“He’s too humble to ever admit that,” Bertman said.
Skip Bertman revealing a lot from behind the scenes. Michigan did offer Les Miles the job + more money in 2011. "I swear to God it's true."

However, New York Times writer John Bacon later reported that, according to Michigan sources, the school never offered the head coaching position to Miles in 2007, 2011 or 2014.
To repeat – yet again – all my sources, very good ones, made clear UM never offered Les Miles the HC position in 2007, 2011 or 2014.

Miles was fired on Sunday after LSU’s 18-13 loss to Auburn.
Hoke lasted four seasons in Ann Arbor, going 31-20 overall and 18-14 in the Big Ten before being fired following the 2014 season.
