Jim Harbaugh, Wilton Speight latest Wolverines on watch lists
Another day, another preseason watch list comes out. Actually, there were multiple lists announced on Wednesday, with Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Wilton Speight adding to the growing list of Wolverines receiving preseason accolades.
Harbaugh is one of 19 coaches named to the Dodd Award list. The Dodd Award is given annually to the nation’s top coach.
Digging for California gold
Michigan is making inroads in its efforts to recruit in California, Allen Trieu writes in the Detroit News. One player they are targeting, writes Trieu, is Bryan Addison from Gardena Junipero Serra. Addison, who could play wide receiver or safety, is rated as a 4-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite rankings system.

Moe Wagner leads Germany into European U20 quarterfinals
Moe Wagner is playing for Germany in the FIBA U20 European championships in Crete. Wagner, who explored the possibility of entering the NBA draft before deciding to return to Michigan for his junior season, had 23 points and 6 rebounds in Germany’s 80-77 win against Turkey in the Round of 16. Wagner and his teammates will face Spain in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
