Renegade, Florida State’s live horse mascot, was not injured during a pregame fall before the Orange Bowl. The Seminoles provided the update via Twitter just before halftime Friday night.

Renegade lost his balance during a pregame tradition in which he and Osceola — the rider — gallop to midfield with a burning spear and plant it in the turf before all Florida State home games. Despite being bucked off Renegade during the spill, Osceola still got to his feet and managed to plant the spear.
Earlier this month, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said he wanted to see the tradition in person at the Orange Bowl.
