ESPN’s Lee Corso: ‘Jim Harbaugh is Urban Meyer’s worst nightmare’
ESPN‘s College GameDay often provides interesting moments, but they’re usually when Lee Corso makes his picks and selects headgear at the end.
This time, however, while on a season preview show, Corso not only had high praise for Michigan, but he said, “Jim Harbaugh is Urban Meyer’s worst nightmare.”
In Harbaugh’s first year as Michigan’s head coach, the former Wolverines QB improved the team from 5-7 to 10-3, including a win against Florida in the bowl game.
Corso seems undaunted by Ohio State’s 42-13 win at Michigan in 2015, however. He also makes note that six of Michigan’s first seven games are at home. The lone road trip is to Rutgers.
“I’m drinking the Big Blue Kool-Aid,” Corso said.
As for Kirk Herbstreit, he and Corso had a quick exchange following Coro’s “worst nightmare” statement.
“This year?” Herbstreit asked.
“Yeah. This year. Every year,” Corso replied.
Herbstreit later said while hiring Harbaugh will bring Michigan on its way to being a perennial top-5 program, he said the Buckeyes are still the team to beat in the Big Ten this season. Herbstreit picked Ohio State to reach the College Football Playoff.
