Ann Arbor, Mich. — After the Michigan defense stopped Colorado, Buffaloes punter Alex Kinney punted the ball right into his lineman’s back. That led to a two-play drive from Michigan capped off with a 17-yard touchdown run for Jehu Chesson to get Michigan within seven points.
The second quarter was slow for scoring after a shootout in the first. With under two minutes left in the half, Kenny Allen made a 39-yard field goal. He had missed a 37-yarder earlier in the quarter.
Michigan looked like a completely different team in the second quarter. A one-play drive that resulted in an Amara Darboh screen-play that went 45 yards for a touchdown that gave Michigan the 24-21 lead.
