The weeks after the NFL draft are a good time for a fan base to learn about new players on its favorite team’s roster. Some questions might also shed light on new information for college fans.
That was the case with Chris Wormley.
The former Michigan defensive end was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round (74th overall) two weeks ago. He recently sat down with the team’s official website for an introductory Q&A. Fans found out that Wormley has some ink in a place you’d least expect it.
Wormley has “Big Worm” tattooed on the inside of his bottom lip. It’s an apt nickname for the 6-foot-5, 298-pound defensive lineman. His choice for tattoo placement baffled a few people — including his mother.
“I told my mom and she said, ‘Were you drunk?’ ” Wormley told BaltimoreRavens.com. “I said, ‘No, it was like 4 o’clock on a Tuesday.’ ”
Wormley said it didn’t hurt as badly as he imagined.
“Big Worm,” on the other hand, is hoping to hurt some opposing offenses off the edge as a Ravens rookie.
