ESPN’s College GameDay is in Bristol, Tennessee, for Saturday night’s game between Tennessee and Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The game is expected to break the college football attendance record, with more than 150,000 fans anticipated.
At least until 8 p.m., that record still belongs to Michigan. It was set Sept. 7, 2013, when 115,109 fans packed Michigan Stadium to watch the Wolverines play Notre Dame.
The Big House still has the largest capacity among college football stadiums, and the fact tonight’s game is being played at a NASCAR venue to set the attendance record doesn’t sit well with some in Ann Arbor.

What’s fandom without a little denial, right? Michigan kicks off against Central Florida at noon.
