Former Michigan standout Charles Woodson compared Michigan star Jabrill Peppers to Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu, according to Sporting News.
“I see him really in a mode of ‘Honey Badger,’ ” Woodson said, referencing Mathieu’s nickname. “He’s a guy who you’re going to be able to pretty much put him anywhere.”
Peppers is listed as a linebacker and defensive back on Michigan’s roster but he has also been featured as a kick returner and running back. He has 35 tackles, 344 return yards, 98 rushing yards and three total touchdowns this season.
Mathieu, who played cornerback for LSU from 2010-11, was a big-time playmaker on defense and also returned kicks for the Tigers. He finished fifth in the 2011 Heisman Trophy voting.
