Butt gives Michigan a 7-0 lead over UCF
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Wilton Speight’s 35-yard pass on third down to Jehu Chesson about five minutes into the game helped Michigan set up its first touchdown, a 3-yard catch by Jake Butt that has helped the Wolverines to a 7-0 lead over Central Florida.
Speight found Chesson on third-and-8 from the UCF 40, which put the Wolverines well inside UCF territory. Three plays later, Speight connected with Butt for Michigan’s first touchdown, with 8:48 left in the first.
Michigan has outgained UCF 41-17.
